Every now and again in Shadow Laughter, Hamish and I produce a sequence that has more humorous overtones, shot at the table. Tables have featured on many occasions, but for these sequences, we are usually sitting next to each other, and there is little else in shot, apart from a prop or two on the table itself.
Below, is a moment from 'Another Fine Mess', April 2013. The title references Laurel and Hardy, of course, and the somewhat minimal action consists only of glances, asides and subtle changes in expression.
One year on, we extended that same theme, while keeping the format, in 'Cake Fear'. For the sake of continuity, we wore the same clothes, but introduced a beard. Oh, and it's a different table.

Here, (below) in our first anniversary special, our two characters 'celebrate' with a cake and a big knife.

In 'Frantic Moments', April 2014, The Hat and his accomplice return once more. They become embroiled in petty squabbling over who has the biggest fan.
The eagle-eyed will have spotted that usually we are sitting in the same positions. We can't think of a good reason for this, beyond coincidence or unconscious patterning, but it may have something to do with who can more easily get to press the button on the camera.
Our new episode deals with keeping hold of evidence. However, there is a twist in Monday's posting, and who will spot the differences between that and the images posted above? Answers on a postcard to our dead letter-box please!
Stay tuned, and join the adventure!
